We offer an artistic residence in music and sound arts, free program, where participants set their own objectives and work methodology, while the hosts provide spaces, tools, links and accompaniment in the territory.<\/p>\n

Participating projects may include research, creation, music and sound production, unconventional practices, exhibition and circulation, interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary processes, etc.<\/p>\n

\nFurnished apartment, shared with other resident artists. It has internet, bathrooms, equipped kitchen, living room, dining room. The residence is located in the city center, close to health services, financial, cultural and recreational areas.<\/p>\n

\nBasic rehearsal room with music instruments, amplifiers, microphones; basic production studio with midi keyboard, PC, basic secuence software (we recommend you to bring your own laptop with the software of your preference).<\/p>\n

\nThe host organization will provide strategic support to the development of projects in the territory; However, the achievement of the established objectives is the total responsibility of the artists in residence. This accompaniment will be carried out based on the schedule proposed in the project, <\/span>which may vary during its development, if reasons are justified. <\/span>

Project reports:<\/strong>
\nAll projects must build a blog with the memory of the process, supported in any format (audio, video, text, etc.) and accompany them with an introductory text and a representative image. This material will be published on the ArteFacto Sonoro website as a reference for the process.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Rights:<\/strong>
\nWithout affecting copyright, all resident artists will recognize the collaboration of ArteFacto Sonoro when they disseminate, by any means, the works produced partially or totally during their residency. To do this, they will use the logo provided by the organization.

<\/span>Investment:<\/strong>
\n<\/span>USD $ 450 per month (USD $ 400 for two or more months). These amounts cover what is described in the \u201coffered services\u201d section.<\/p>\n

A disruptive trip between cities, such as sound studio, photo and graphic video. \u00abAuditory memories: a sound mapping of the San Roque market\u00bb was a great and inspiring sound journey from a market that extrapolates its architecture and walls. In each drift a surprise was revealed, lived and heard. ArteFacto Sonoro provided a productive cultural exchange between Brazil and Ecuador. Exchange that I had immense joy in sharing with Marta Julia Serengue, Camilo Urbano, JJosu\u00e9 Jaramillo and Estebam Coloma. The San Roque market in a small route of its corridors and affections. A great experience for eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands and heart. \u00bb

And preceding 3-days workshop organized in National Dance Company was a fun way to meet inspiring artists and professionals from Quito, it contributed a lot to the development of the project. \u00bb

CONTEXT INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the middle of the world, multiculturalism brings together the ancestral and the contemporary, the local and the global. Dare to discover the sounds of Ecuador!<\/span><\/p>\n

Our cultural diversity:<\/strong>
\nEcuador has about 13'000.000 inhabitants and a little more than 260,000 km2. Its population is divided into four natural regions: the Galapagos archipelago, the Pacific coast, the Andes mountains and the Amazon jungle.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Quito, headquarters of the "ArteFacto Sonoro" residence, is located in a strategic place. Thanks to the country's excellent road and tourist infrastructure, you can visit the Amazon (east) or the coast (west) in just 5 hours on the road. Traveling from one region to another allows us, in a few hours, to cross different climatic floors and observe incredible landscapes. In Ecuador, there are currently 13 indigenous nationalities and 14 languages. The most numerous town in the country is the Quichua, which inhabits the entire strip of the Andes and part of the Amazon. Although the majority of 1 @ Secuatorian \u00a9 s are mestizos, the diversity of our peoples includes Afro-Ecuadorians, in the north-western part of the country, even the Shuar peoples of the jungle, in the south east. At the same time, Quito is a welcoming territory for a diversity of foreign colonies from all over the world. Being the capital, it has the largest cultural infrastructure and network of cultural agents in the country. Indeed, the arts find in Quito a vibrant local and international scene that is shown through museums and cultural centers, festivals and fairs, recreation centers, public spaces and active communities.<\/span><\/p>\n
